As per our Hindu calendar, we will see four eclipses this year. So, if you are among those who like to learn about cosmic connections and more, this year will be a special one for you.
Holi 2025 is taking place with a lunar eclipse; isn’t that amazing? Seems like the universe is inviting us to explore the significance of this enchanting mix of traditions and mystique.
However, let’s not forget About Rang Panchmi, another vibrant Indian festival following Holi, adding more color and joy to our festivities.
Understanding the Significance: Lunar Eclipse on Holi 2025
This festival is my personal favorite. Winning good over evil isn’t just a saying. This festival says it all in a much-celebrated way.
Besides the WHY, we all have so many reasons to enjoy Holi 2025, ganging up with friends, joining family, and playing around with colors.
A festival with so many reasons to look up to is fun to talk about too. Another distinctive reason could be the astrology perspective when you attach great spiritual significance along.
For astrology enthusiasts amidst the Holi festivities and lunar eclipse, Holashtak 2025 holds significant importance. It will start from March 08 to March 25, when you need to refrain from performing anything auspicious that aligns with traditional beliefs.
However, Holi 2025 has more significance since it will fall on the same day as the lunar eclipse, carrying spirituality, tradition, and astrological significance.
As a person connected to Vedic wisdom, many people find solace in this alignment of celestial energy with human ceremonies or traditions. It’s like telling us how everything is linked and how beautifully the terrestrial and celestial realms intertwine.
Do you know there are three types of lunar eclipses? If the answer is no check them below.
What are the three types of lunar eclipses, and which will occur on Holi 2025?
I am excited since we will see a penumbral lunar eclipse this Holi. What do we mean by that? What is a penumbral lunar eclipse? Let’s dive in and discover the secret together!
Types of Lunar Eclipse
Lunar eclipse has three types, depending on how the sun, moon, and Earth line up. There’s extra for us in store this Holi.
1. Total Lunar Eclipse
As far as I know, a total lunar eclipse is when the Earth’s shadow completely shields the moon, giving it a captivating yet deep red glow. It’s like witnessing nature’s show, filling our hearts with excitement and wonder.
2. Partial Lunar Eclipse
As the name suggests, it existed only in part. A partial lunar eclipse is like the moon playing hide-and-seek with the sun and the Earth, where only part of the moon hides in shadow. In this lunar eclipse type, the shadow appears dark on the side it faces the Earth.
3. Penumbral Lunar Eclipse
During a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse, it seems as if the faint outer part of the moon is wrapped in a delicate shadow, painting a subtle yet enchanting picture in the sky during the night.
Holika Dahan 2025 Muhurat or Timing
For many people in India and some other areas, doing everything at the right time (as per astrological facts) is prominent.
Holika Dahan this year will commence on Sunday, March 24.
Holika Dahan Muhurta – 11:13 to 12:27 AM(Mar 25)
Duration – 01 Hour and 14 Mins
Bhadra Punchha – 06:33 to 07:53
Bhadra Mukha – 07:53 to 10:06 PM
To my knowledge, performing Holika Dahan at the wrong time attracts misfortune and suffering.
As per the Vedic Panchang, Holi celebrations under lunar eclipse influence at Purnima Tithi begin from 09:54 a.m. on March 24 and last until 12:29 p.m. on March 25.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is the lunar eclipse visible in India on Holi 2025?

2. Is the lunar eclipse harmful to the eyes?
Seeing a lunar eclipse without assistance, either wearing binoculars or a telescope, is safe.
3. Where will the lunar eclipse in 2025 be visible?
It will be visible from Europe, Africa, North and East Asia, North and South America, and more.
Takeaways
Though it’s fascinating for skywatchers to witness such events, it also sparks all sorts of myths and beliefs, especially in cultures like ours that are deeply rooted in ancient traditions and astrology.
The lunar eclipse on the same day as Holi 2025 offers a unique cosmic alignment of events.
This significant event serves as a reminder of the nature of life and the value of accepting change with resilience and grace as the moon changes during a lunar eclipse.
As the mother of a lovely son and a woman, I put my family’s safety and health first and take every precaution to avoid possible harm, even with events like lunar eclipses.
Nolan Church, former recruiter of Google and DoorDash and the current CEO of salary data company FairComp, recommends that job seekers avoid these three types of phrases to get a better chance at being hired.
For more than a year, the IT industry has been experiencing significant swings, resulting in massive job losses for millions around the world. Multiple roles were slashed unexpectedly at industry giants such as Amazon, Google, Meta, and X, as well as smaller tech firms, catching people by surprise with termination notifications. As a result, a slew of tech experts found themselves on the job market, looking for new opportunities amid increased competition. Standing out became a difficult challenge, requiring extra work to ensure that one’s résumé received attention. However, achieving this achievement proved to be more difficult than anticipated, wouldn’t you agree?
Nolan Church, once a recruiter at Google, imparted valuable advice to job seekers during an interview with CNBC Make It. He emphasized the importance of avoiding three specific types of phrases to improve one’s chances of securing employment.
First, Church advised keeping sentences short and clear, preferably not more than 25 words. He also stated that it might be “shorter than that because the goal of a resume is for recruiters to very quickly understand what the candidate has done.”
He then emphasized the necessity of resume conciseness, pointing out that recruiters normally spend only a few seconds evaluating each one.
By keeping sentences concise, applicants can swiftly explain their qualifications and accomplishments, allowing recruiters to immediately assess their ability.
Second, Church advised avoiding creating a “word salad” of keywords. Many applicants try to fit many buzzwords from the job description into a single statement, which can be overwhelming and unhelpful. “You’re not allowed to use more than one keyword in a sentence,” he quoted.
Instead, Church proposed a more strategic strategy. He suggested reducing the number of keywords to one per phrase, allowing applicants to concentrate on certain abilities or experiences in a clear and organized manner.
Finally, Church prohibited job hopefuls from just mentioning their everyday responsibilities on their resumes.
According to him, banal chores such as scheduling meetings or emailing colleagues did not indicate the applicant’s impact on the company. Instead, Church encourages applicants to showcase their achievements and efforts.
He urged focusing on actual results, such as recruiting new clients or exceeding sales targets, and using numerical data to back up these accomplishments.
Without further ado, let’s get one step closer to ensuring a better and healthier life with sweet benefits.
Read on to know them.
1. Jaggery or Gur
Jaggery is known to be a medicinal, natural sugar product. As per my knowledge, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry made it clear that more than 70% of jaggery in the world comes from India, and people here refer to Jaggery as a medicinal sugar. I use jaggery as medicine at my house whenever needed, and after knowing its benefits, you’ll find it just as wonderful.
Benefits
Jaggery has a magnesium content that may contribute to the reduction of stress and muscle relaxation.
It helps in purifying blood and also manages serious diseases like jaundice.
Calcium is present and helps improve our bone health.
Zinc, with other minerals, plays its part as an immunity booster.
If we consume jaggery in a moderate amount, this medicinal sugar helps manage stomach pain, constipation, and digestion.
2. Coconut Sugar
As a conscious woman who values natural choices for her family’s well-being, I discovered coconut sugar is a better Indian alternative to white sugar.
Benefits
We get potassium and vitamin C benefits.
It also has inulin (not insulin), a natural indigestible fiber that acts as a prebiotic in the gut.
Help maintain optimal levels of blood glucose and energy.
100% organically grown, and is unrefined, which means we get essential nutrients.
Has a lower glycemic index if we compare it to regular sugar available on the market.
Provides iron, copper, magnesium, calcium, and antioxidant benefits.
Along with lowering the chances of blood sugar spikes, it also contains inulin.
Khand, or Muscovado sugar in English, is formulated using only cold-pressed raw cane juice. I found out that Khand is a popular sugar alternative in India that retains beneficial molasses, unlike refined sugar.
Benefits
Desi Khand, or Muscovado sugar, retains natural molasses in a higher amount, making it a better alternative to white sugar by increasing nutrients like potassium, iron, and calcium.
It has a low glycemic index that may help slow blood sugar spikes compared to other refined sugar options.
The amount of molasses present determines if it is light or dark. If it’s darker, it means it contains more molasses.
Khand includes Vitamins such as A, B1, C, B2, B3, B5 and B6.
It has an abundance of antioxidants, soluble fiber, and proteins with other beneficial compounds.
4. Rock Sugar or Kuja Mishri
Kuja Mishri, or rock sugar, contains sucrose and some elements that aid in breaking down fructose and sugar. Sometimes I use this too! It is equally sweet and less harmful than traditional white sugar, which is ruining our lives.
Benefits
Helps improve our hemoglobin levels.
A healthy substitute for refined sugar and is considered a better option than white sugar.
Improves blood circulation and is used in some drugs used to treat anemia.
It helps manage weight for overweight people.
Serves as an energy booster and is also useful for lactating mothers
However, diabetic patients should avoid rock sugar.
Raw honey, or Shahad in Hindi, is another healthy Indian alternative to white sugar. It is a yummy Indian alternative to sugar that I love and add occasionally to my family’s diet.
Compared to regular honey, which contains harmful artificial sweeteners, raw honey has healthy plant-based compounds. Raw honey has nutritional benefits that ensure various health benefits.
Benefits of Raw Honey:
Raw honey is a good antioxidant source that helps protect our body from possible cell damage.
It contains various nutrients that contribute to our overall well-being.
Help nourish good bacteria in the intestines, which are essential for digestion and overall health.
Soothes sour throat and cough issues
The polyphenols in honey help with brain memory and cognitive function.
Takeaways
To sum up, finding a healthy alternative to white sugar has been quite a task for me. As a woman, I understand how important it is to ensure our family’s well-being. So, to balance sweetness with your health, opt for any of the mentioned Indian alternatives to sugar and ensure that you enjoy the sweetness in life.
This healthy switch not only solves your problem of the challenges to cutting out traditional and common white sugar totally but also provides various health benefits.

Our children have seen superheroes on TV, and they want to become like them and unknowingly cultivate some of their traits, like courage and determination.
Teaching our kids morals and life skills has never been more vital. As parents, we strive to foster courage and leadership in our children. We want them to be confident, ethical, and ready to face life’s problems. But don’t you think our kids should know about Indian culture too?
We should educate our children about our culture and the superheroes of our country and teach them some of their characteristics, which will help them excel in the future.
Today, on the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti 2024, let me take you all through the chronicle of the great achievements of Chhatrapati Shivaji, the Maratha warrior-king.
Let’s begin Shivaji Maharaj’s expedition with our young explorers, sail together into time, and revisit the exciting stories of the great Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj: The Legendary Hero!
Shivaji Maharaj, the brave warrior and the founder of the Maratha Empire, has been worshipped in Indian history ever since. Every February 19, Shivaji Maharaj is honoured by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti for his life and acts. Shivaji Maharaj, an Indian legend, is warmly embraced and celebrated by the citizens on this day.
Shivaji Maharaj was born in Pune’s Shivneri Fort on February 19, 1630. His parents were Jijabai and Shahaji Bhosale, an Adil Shahi general. Shivaji Maharaj was raised with patriotism and a passion for his country. Hinduism and Maratha’s bravery also shaped him. These influences shaped his personality and his future goals.
Shivaji Maharaj learned fighting and statecraft early on. His schooling included military tactics, history, and administration. He also lived with courage, determination, and selflessness. Shivaji Maharaj’s first major military triumph was taking Torna Fort from the Adil Shahis, aged 16. His distinguished military and leadership career began with this win.
Shivaji Maharaj built a great Maratha Empire spanning most of India. Guerrilla and naval warfare are his military innovations. For years, Shivaji Maharaj has inspired Indians with his leadership, courage, and patriotism.
What Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Did in the Past: With a Kids Perspective!
Fortress Master:
Shivaji Maharaj was a great fort builder and conqueror! He constructed forts from nothing, making the mountains his playground and giving them a genuine superhero clubhouse feel. You can imagine that you’re creating your fort with a secret passage—cool, huh?
Smart Strategist:
Shivaji Maharaj was an exceptional king, the master of all strategies. He engaged in psychological warfare with his opponents, similar to the way chess masters act in reality. Just picture yourself outplaying your friends in a game.😀
People’s Hero:
He was not only about battles and forts, but Shivaji Maharaj was also Janata Janardhan (a hero of the people)! He was for everyone—a true superhero who was always taking care of the safety of his citizens. Now that’s a cool thought: be the hero in your neighbourhood by giving kindness and lots of high-fives everywhere.
1. Courage and Determination: The way Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj emerged as a leader fully equipped with the necessary strength and resilience in battles speaks to his exceptional courage and commitment. By maintaining their self-determined direction, the children understand how facing adversity can be done bravely and persistently.

3. Respect for All: Shivaji Maharaj was the upholder of the principle that people of all kinds and all classes must be treated with dispassion and respect. This lesson stresses the necessity of inclusivity and teaches the children that it is important to treat one another with respect and kindness.
4. Empathy and Compassion: The empathetic Maratha king transcended all these attributes simultaneously. Kids can grasp the virtues of sympathy in understanding people’s emotions, repentance in being courteous to others, and empathy in assisting the needy from the example of Shivaji Maharaj.
5. The Impact on Society: Shivaji Maharaj’s reign was a transformative event, creating a class consciousness of justice, equality, and governance. Children can learn early about the correlations between individual deeds and the welfare of society so that they can understand how to improve the community and contribute to the public good.

Children can comprehend the importance of striving in their academics to gain knowledge and keep improving as individuals who will improve their lives and the community.

If you’re a parent, you know that travelling with a tiny human can be a daunting task.
But fear not! We’ve got you covered with some pointers that will make your trip a breeze. Or at least, a little less chaotic than a toddler’s tantrum.
So buckle up my dear peers! Grab your snacks, and let’s get started on this wild adventure!
With these 11 survival tips, you will have you laughing to your destination.
1. Booking Early Flights Is a Bliss
I am not a morning person, but I prefer to get ready early in the morning whenever I need travel with my little pumpkin. The earlier the flight or your bookings, the more friendly and helpful the attendants and passengers tend to be. Plus, your little one won’t be up against mid-day nap times and will be more well-behaved.
2. Don’t Forget the Essentials
Like medications, empty sippy cups, baby wipes, tissues, hand sanitizer, pull-ups, extra clothing and Ziploc bags. And let’s be real, these are all things you have to keep in your diaper bag anyway.
3. Stroller is Your Secret Weapon Essentials
It may seem like another heavy item to lug around, but it’s a lifesaver when it comes to quickly getting between gates during connecting flights or metro trains, keeping your toddler in one place at any point.
4. Book their Own Seats
Toddlers over 2 need their seats, but for the little ones, it’s all about ensuring everyone’s comfort.
So, why not splurge on that extra seat for your baby? Not only will they be more comfortable, but you’ll have a little extra space to spread out and enjoy your time. And who knows, maybe your little one will even sleep the entire way (fingers crossed).
When travelling with a toddler, always aim to get to the travel spot at least an hour earlier than recommended. Potential delays related to tantrums, potty trips and attempting to walk in a straight line mean you’ll need that extra time.
6. Help is Around the Corner
Most people are willing to lend a hand when travelling with a toddler. Attendants will let you board early to get settled and will even give your little one extra snacks or “wings” to wear as a pin.
7. DIY Toys to Turn Tears into Smiles
Oh, the dreaded meltdown moments during travel! But fear not, fellow parents, for a little creativity can go a long way. Prepare a stash of do-it-yourself (DIY) toys that can magically transform tears into smiles, making the journey a joyous adventure.
8. Surprise them with a New Toy or Book
Bring along some new toys or books to keep your little one distracted. Just don’t take them out at the beginning – save them for when boredom strikes.
Airline snacks may do the trick, but if you are travelling by road you have to bring along some of your toddler’s favourite snacks and some suckable candies to help with popping ears if you are going to high altitudes.
10. Relax and Have Fun!
Remember that travelling with toddlers isn’t always a walk in the park, but with realistic expectations and preparation, it can be a blast! Enjoy the opportunity to travel with your little one and don’t stress too much about how well-behaved they are on the way – just have fun!
